Guided tours, audio guides and live speakers – discover the exhibitions at the Military History Museum in Dresden.

Guided tours, audio guides and live speakers accompany visitors through the exhibitions, bringing military history to life in all its facets. Striking exhibits offer fresh insights and new perspectives on past and present.

Our museum offers English-speaking visitors a variety of options to learn about our exhibitions. For example, all our exhibition texts are available in German and English. We also have an audio guide in English and our Live-Speakers are happy to answer your questions. Guided tours are available in German, English, French and Russian language.

Please give us a heads up if you wish to visit our museum with a larger group even if you don't intend to book a guided tour.

Audio guides

QR codes throughout the exhibition allow you to access the audio stations using your smartphone. Please note that this requires the use of your own mobile data allowance. You can borrow a multimedia guide from the museum ticket desk for a refundable deposit.

Live speakers

Our guides are on hand throughout the museum to answer your questions and offer short guided tours of selected exhibits and exhibition areas. Our experienced museum guides are available in the permanent and special exhibitions on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 3 to 5pm, and at weekends and during school holidays from 11am to 2pm and from 3 to 5pm.
